Looking to go Pumpkin Picking in Essex? Look no further!
This year we have grown thousands of pumpkins and squash at our Pumpkin Patch for you to come and choose from. With over 25 varieties, whether you like knobbly ones, giant ones, tiny ones or colourful ones, we have it all.
As well as pick your own pumpkin, we have plenty of other activities from the Pumpkin Cannon to our Maize Maze. So wrap up warm and come and join in the fun!
Hatter's Farm is super easy to get to, so whether you're coming from London, Essex, Hertfordshire or Cambridge we are in the perfect spot for your family day out! (Postcode: CM22 6NP)
We are open on the 23rd, 24th and 26th-30th 10am to 9pm (open till 6pm on the 31st), giving you plenty of time to explore our fields and other activities. We would recommend visiting the Pumpkin Patch sooner rather than later (because it's usually drier!).

This year Hatter's Farm will also be opening up for spooky night time Pumpkin Picking!
So if you are feeling a little braver, come down to the Pumpkin Patch in the evening to pick your your perfect pumpkin in the darkness of night...
Make sure you remember a torch if you want to try and complete the Maize Maze, although this isn't for the faint hearted! Our Pumpkin Cannons will also be open if you are looking for something a little more thrilling!
Our Pumpkin Nights will be open every evening on the 23rd, 24th, and the 26th to the 30th of October.
There will be less tickets available for our Pumpkin Nights than our day time event, so click here to find out more and book your tickets now!
Our Maize Maze is spread over 4 acres and is full of all sorts of twists and turns to keep you entertained!
There will also be a mini game to play. See if you can find all the letters to make a Hallowe'en related word! You will then get the chance to enter one of our competitions.
The entry to the Maize Maze is £3.00 per person (0-3 yr olds / non-walkers go free) and will be open all day from 10am to 8pm (on selected dates). On the 26th and 31st the Maize will close at 5pm.
We are very excited to announce that we are the first attraction in the UK to have our very own pumpkin cannon!
So come on down and pay as you go to fire pumpkins at our Hallowe'en target range! (Please note under 13s must be accompanied by an adult, and under 6s will not be allowed to fire the cannon).
Our Pumpkin Cannon will close at 8:30pm except on the 26th and 31st when it will close at 4:30pm.
We also have our very own nature trail for you to enjoy for free.
So if you are needing to burn off even more energy then come and enjoy our wonderful countryside.
When are you open? Our pumpkin picking field will be open from 10am-4pm on the 9th, 10th, 16th, 17th and 23rd to 31st of October. Our Pumpkin Nights will be open on the 23rd, 24th, and 26th to 30th of October (open to 9pm).
How much does it cost?
Tickets cost £4 per car plus a booking fee. The £4 will be deducted from the price of your pumpkins.
Pumpkins and squash will vary in price from £1 for our smallest up to £12 for our whoppers!
Bonus activities cost a small amount more: the Maize Maze is £3.00 per person and the pumpkin cannon is £2.50 a shot or 3 for £7.
Who can come? The whole family is more than welcome to our Pumpkin Patch! On top of pumpkin picking, there are plenty of activities for children, from the Maize Maze to the Pumpkin Cannon. Dogs will be permitted on leads however they will not be allowed in the pumpkin field. All dog waste must be taken home.
Do I need to book to come to Hatter's Farm? Yes, booking can easily be done on our website. Tickets cost £4 per car plus a booking fee. When you purchase your pumpkins, we will refund the £4 by deducting it from the price of your pumpkins. Once you have arrived you are more than welcome to stay for up to two hours (if you arrive within two hours of closure you will be asked to leave at the appropriate time)! Can we pay by card? Yes, we accept both card and cash payments. We would encourage card payment wherever possible in light of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Are there toilets? Unfortunately, we are unable to provide toilet facilities on site.
Will it be muddy? This all depends on the weather. We would strongly advise that everyone wears wellies or shoes that you don't mind getting muddy to come pumpkin picking!
Is the site accessible? We apologise but as the venue is an open field and open to the elements, access may be difficult for people with disabilities.
Is there car parking? Parking will be available in the field next to our pumpkin patch. If you are concerned about the conditions we would advise checking the weather.
Can we bring our own food? Yes, you are more than welcome to bring a picnic along to enjoy! There will also be a food truck available!
